Looking to elevate your website beyond standard WordPress typography? RTM Essential allows you to integrate custom fonts that reflect your unique brand identity and professionalism.

This tutorial will show you a simple, practical way to upload and manage custom fonts using RTM Essential.

Follow the step-by-step instructions:

1. Click the theme name / open Theme Options

2. Go to the Features menu

3. Find the Custom Fonts option

4. There are two types of fonts you can add:

  • Add Variable Font is used to upload a single, flexible font file that dynamically includes an entire range of weights and styles, resulting in better website performance and faster loading times.
  • Add Static Font is used to upload conventional fonts where each style and weight (e.g., Light, Regular, Semi-Bold, Bold) requires its own specific file (like .ttf or .woff2).

5. Add Variable Font (is used to upload a single, flexible font file that dynamically includes an entire range of weights and styles, resulting in better website performance and faster loading times).

Note: Please ensure that the font being uploaded is a true variable font and uses the .TTF file format.

  • Click on the Add Variable Font button.
  • Type in the font name that you wish to add.
  • Click the Upload File button to open the media library.
  • Choose the specific font file you want to upload.
  • You can customize the Min WidthMax WidthMin Weight, and Max Weight according to your needs.
  • Once done, click the Publish Font button to save your changes.
  • The font has been successfully added and is now ready to use in your design editor.
  • Once added, your custom font is automatically available in the editor and ready to use.
  • You can easily select your preferred weight without the hassle of entering them manually one by one.

6. Add Static Font is used to upload conventional fonts where each style and weight (e.g., Light, Regular, Semi-Bold, Bold) requires its own specific file (like .ttf or .woff2).

Note: For Static Fonts, you can upload your font files in WOFF, WOFF2, TTF, SVG, or EOT formats, and then manually configure the specific weight for each individual font.

  • Click on the Add Static Font button.
  • Type in the font name that you wish to add.
  • Click the Upload File button to open the media library.
  • Choose the specific font file you want to upload.
  • You can customize Font Weight according to your needs.
  • Once done, click the Publish Font button to save your changes.
  • The font has been successfully added and is now ready to use in your design editor.
  • You can add fonts with different weights according to your preferences.
  • Once added, your custom font is automatically available in the editor and ready to use.
