What You Need to Do After Updating RTMKit v2.0.0

Header and Footer are not displayed after the update

Estimated reading: 2 minutes 11 views

Do your header and footer look missing after updating the RTMKit plugin to v2.0.0, as shown in the picture below?

Don’t worry — we’re here to help you get them back in no time.

With major improvements to performance and system architecture, some settings may revert to their default values after the migration. This is expected as part of the upgrade process.

The good news is that this update also introduces a powerful new feature: you can now configure header and footer display conditions based on your needs. They’re no longer limited to appearing only on the homepage — for example, you can display different headers on different pages.

Please follow the guide below to restore your header and footer settings — it’s quick and easy, and we’ve included a video tutorial for extra guidance.

1. Header

  • Go to RTMKit.
  • Have you completed the setup wizard? Make sure it’s completed before proceeding.
  • Once completed, go to Theme Builder and click Header.
  • Click Edit on the header you want to configure.
  • Then, go to the Condition TabAdd Condition → select Entire Site (if you want this header to appear on all pages).
  • Don’t forget to Click Save Changes.
  • With the latest update in v2.0.0, you can also add other conditions, such as displaying the header differently on specific pages, as shown in the picture below.
  • Your header will then be displayed successfully.

2. Footer

  • To restore the footer to its previous appearance, you can follow the same steps you used before.
  • Click Edit on the footer you want to configure.
  • Then, go to the Condition TabAdd Condition → select Entire Site (if you want this footer to appear on all pages).
  • Don’t forget to Click Save Changes.
  • With the latest update in v2.0.0, you can also add other conditions, such as displaying the footer differently on specific pages, as shown in the picture below.
  • Your Footer will then be displayed successfully.
