Installing the theme via WordPress

To install the theme, you must have a WordPress copy installed on your server. Check with the WordPress information article.

Step 1 – Download the theme files

Download the theme files from ThemeForest > Downloads tab:

You have 2 options for downloading your theme:

• All files and documentation (Complete Zip archive);
• Installable WordPress file only.

Step 2 – Upload the theme

There are 2 ways to install the theme:

1. Installing The Theme via WordPress admin panel:

• Login to your WordPress Dashboard.
• Navigate to Appearance > Themes.
• Located at the top of the screen, click the Add Theme.

• Upload the theme-name.zip file from your computer and click Install Now.

• When the installation is complete, click Activate. You will be redirected to Themes setup.

• The theme is installed. Click the theme name to go to the Wizard Setup.

• Enter your Purchase Code here and click Validate Purchase Code
• If your purchase code is valid, click Next.

• Ensure that you install and activate the following required plugins: Elementor, RTMKit, RTMForm, and RTMKit Pro.
• Click Install & Activate Plugin to complete this step.

• After the plugins are activated, click the Next button to continue.

• Click Start Import to import the entire website.
• Click Custom Import if you only want to import specific pages.

• Select Full Import All Pages to import all pages and the global styles.
• Select Demo Content Only to import all pages without global styles.
• Select Global Style Only if you want to import the global styles only.
• And click Start Import.

• Please wait until the import process is complete.
• Don’t refresh or close the page until the process is completed.

• After the import is complete, click the Close button.

• All done, your theme has been set up. Enjoy your new theme by Rometheme.

2. Installing the theme via FTP:

• Log into your hosting account via your FTP software client (FileZilla, WinSCP, Transmit or your preferred FTP client).
• Unzip the theme-name.zip file. Use only the extracted theme folder. Upload the extracted theme folder into wp-content -> themes folder and wait for the upload.
• Activate the newly installed theme by navigating to Appearance > Themes and clicking the Activate button.
• Once you activate the theme, you will see a notification message to install the required plugins.

Errors and troubleshooting

If you are encountering a WordPress error message or white screen, don’t panic. Someone has likely encountered the same message, which can easily be solved. Please see Cannot upload the theme article.
